Zune 2 Officially Announced
The 2nd generation of Zunes has been officially announced. I think I'll get the 80 GB Zune 2 (4 GB and 8 GB Flash models also available) for $250 and forgo getting an iPhone, which would have cost me $880 over the course of two years.
(EDIT: As soon as I posted, I realized that by not mentioning the iPod touch, I'm inviting comments that will tell me I could get the iPod touch for around $300 or $350 which does everything but make phone calls and is basically the same as the iPhone. The main reason I don't want to get an iPod Touch is because I want a lot of space so I can fit my entire music collection plus podcasts plus expand my collection as I go. So there.)

Simple response
I have an iPod 80gb and I don't ever need all the music I have on there, including podcasts, etc.. I would suggest not worrying about the space. All you really want to have at your fingertips is the collection of music which you listen to most often. For instance, I have a 90gib library of music and I only listen to about half-a-dozen playlists. I rarely (can not emphasis this more without saying never) listen to but about 10% of my iPod.
Be realistic. You would be better off getting a portable enclosure with room to store 300gb of information and a small 8gb nano.
